Cochrane Systematic Review, March 12-14, 2018

Cochrane Systematic Review workshop

Yogyakarta. Among other trainings held by Cochrane Indonesia, "Cochrane Systematic Review (CSR)" is one of the most anticipated ones. Despite the high interest, the participants were strictly limited to 40 people to ensure the effectivity of the session.
This three-day workshop was held on March 12-14 2018, took place in Hotel Grand Keisha Yogyakarta in  Sleman, Yogyakarta. Prof. Declan Devane, PhD served as the main trainer for this event, accompanied by facilitators from Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM. Both small and large group activities followed after each lecture sesion. Among the material presented in this training include defining a review question, searching for studies, assessing study eligibility, risk of bias, introduction to meta analysis, introduction to heterogeneity and many more. The participants were also required  to complete a draft of their personal protocols as one of the tangible evidence of their involvement in this training. The personal protocol that had been written, was susequently presented and discussed on the third day with the facilitators. Overall, this event has left a good impression to the participants, which was demonstrated by the growing enthusiasm of participants in asking questions at the end of each session, or even when training had ended.
